Perth trip

Been to Perth in end May for a family trip. I always hope to maintain the same lifestyle if he would here. i guess i would always plan trips, be it local or overseas. i know if he is here, we can't afford overseas trip. who cares, as long as we are being together, anywhere is the same. Anyway, i've purchased the air tic for myself and the kids to the perth, during the airasia sales. Got it for 500 plus for adult tic, kids is 295 rm each. Considered the cheapest to get. 

Never know that the autumn in Perth is so cold. I've made the decision that i won't go to anyplace with temperature less than 15 degree celcius anymore (rules are to be broken). Anyway, it's too cold! i can't truly enjoy the trip, especially the first few days while it was raining. 

Just for the records of the trip

1st day: Perth airport, breakfast at airport, car rental @ Thrift, drove to the rented apartment but could not check in, Kings park (try to hang out longer but raining), back to apartment and lunch nearby, check in, took cat bus (free city bus) to city woolworths and shop for groceries. back to apartment, and went to woolworths again. dinner and sleep about 7.15pm.

2nd day: Drove all the way to busselton lighthouse then bunburry, then check in to sunflower farm at margaret river. shop groceries at woolworths and dinner at farmstay.

3rd day: quite an enjoyable day as started with the kids pony ride, farm animals feeding and tractor ride. Feel so excited first time seeing kangaroo. hang around at the farm and leave about 11am. Departed to margaret river chocolate company, then killers by winery, and back to perth. my god, the final rented airbnb the most comfortable. a lovely home. finally can have a good rest.

4th day: Lancelin sandunes then namburg national park (pinnacles dessert). Worth the long journey. the clear sky, the unique scenes plus you can take pretty photos! The favorite day and place of the trip.

5th day: Carvesham wildlife park which contains many local animals. kangaroo are still my favorite.

6th day: wander around the fremantle. Had the nice fish and chips. Again, pretty photos.

Of all points and places we experienced, the kindness of the people is the most memorable and warming one. The airbnb host, the custom officer and the taxi driver, gave me an impressive memories of Perth, which when i came back to own place, i keep saying "i truly like Perth".

Bangkok last week

I've been to bangkok for a short trip with a friend.

Seriously i don't like bangkok. Maybe it's just coincidently this trip did not give me good experience. I don't mean that it is a bad place. I just don't feel good. I don't like the traffic jam. The traffic is really worst. Jam all the way, all the time. Spent so much time on the road.

The food is the best. Who doesn't like Thai food? Tom yam gong and pad thai are the must-ordered for every meal. The stomach was tortured with spicy and sour food every meal. But i really enjoy the food. For the Asian places i have been, the favorite food would be indonesian food (i guess i really like the spices and chili padi taste), next then would be thai food. Spicy and spice fragrance is really my choice of food.

Going out with friends for a few days is a chance to know someone better. Because you know, just you and i, we can only talk to each other. The moment is appreciated. More communication and interaction, mean we can know others more. Not only the personality, but their way of life. Last trip to South Korea we talked more about diet, friendship and healthy lifestyle. This trip to BKK more about shopping, make up and skin care.

Melaka trip last weekend

I planned to go Singapore for her school holiday. My first choice is to woodlands regional library and orchard for christmas decoration. But who knows Singapore tighten their custom security. The traffic jam is scary. sigh. So in the end we are not going.

We went to Melaka then. Oh my god, the cars at Melaka is so many! I avoided the Saturday which i think should be the peak. Who knows Sunday is as peak as any day?! The car could hardly move towards the city center. Oh no... We left butterfly farm before 1pm, reached city center only at 2.30pm! Luckily the queue at the chicken rice shop is not so long at the after-peak hour. Finally we had our lunch at 3pm ++. Then we reach the hotel at 5.30pm! Shit to the traffic..

At night we went to Pak Putra for the famous naan and tandoori chicken. Oh no.. it's another wait. we had the dinner about 8.45pm.

You see, it's never-ending waiting. I seriously don't like!

The second day we had breakfast at 9am, then lunch at 2pm. We went to our favourite Nyonya restaurant, Nancy's kitchen. This is always our must-go when we go Melaka. But after this trip i think everything changed. First, i don't like crowds, i don't like jams, i don't like waiting. Second, their standard drop. Seriously, it is not as delicious and unforgetable as the first few trip we were there. Next time i would rather tried other nyonya restaurant. The telur cincaluk is so salty! can't stand it.

Anyway.. at least i learn something from this melaka trip. I should avoid Melaka for the future school holiday.

Legoland 300815

Yeah, we are the regular customer of Legoland Malaysia. 
It's a very big playground for kids. So why not going since we got the annual pass.

GPS attached to AJ rent a car

If you are going to Jeju, it is a good choice to self-drive.

Or else, most people may also choose to hire a driver/tour guide, or follow tour. But it would be too expensive for us two to hire a driver as the price may go up to more than RM400 per day.

So self-drive would be a good choice.

There are two car rental company that people used to choose because of their online english website, AJ rent a car or kt kumho. You can search through the website of how to book the car online.

There is one issue i wish to discuss today is the GPS attached.

There would be no doubt to choose AJ over KT as the price would be much cheaper. Don't be frightened by the price shown at the website. You need to register as their member to see the discount. The rental fee would be about RM120 for the smallest compact car to as expensive as you wish (LOL).

However, i could not choose "1" under "navigation" part. People used to choose 1 to reserve the GPS at the option when you proceed the reservation. This puzzled me because there was only "0" under the selection. To drive at foreign place of course we need a GPS. I've searched through many websites/blog, none of them mention that GPS is surely, of course, automatically, confirmed attached with the car. T.T

There was one people in the cari forum answered me that i do not need to worry so much as the gps will sure be attached. This ease me. Anyway, i get the reply from AJ that every car got built in GPS which is in korean language.

At last, i got a CONFIRMED answer.

Booked the car for 2 days cost 47000 won. =)

Disneyland

Since i was small, i knew that there were four disneyland in the world. Two in USA, one in Paris and one in Tokyo. Then when i grew up, they add in one more at Hong Kong. I thought the smallest one would be the one at Paris, then the Hong Kong be the one since its occurence.

Every kids dreamt of Disneyland. There are magic, fun, dream and happiness. At least that is what portrayed by the advertisement.

Then i was lucky to have the chance to go Disneyland Tokyo when i was 20 years old. One-day trip there. With mother's company fellows. It would be more fun and memorable if i was going with family, lover or friends. 

Next, the target would be the Disneyland at Florida, the biggest among all. Magic Kingdom, Disney's hollywood studios, Disney's animal kingdom... When is the day?

I would probably bring my kids to Hong Kong Disneyland first. They sure will like it.

韩国游预算

到目前为止，去韩国的花费已经超过三千块。
我怎么觉得我好像不是budget旅行。

六月去哪儿

先生六月生日。

历经怀孕生产的我和他，已经两年没出国旅行了。最后一次是两年前的巴厘岛。

欧元跌，所以的确有念头要去那。

当然，要去哪儿，最大的问题就是时间和预算。

有了孩子，也不能出门太久，所以就预着一星期。

既然要比较每个地方的花费，那就每一项都要列出来。

Paris

AirFrance RM2246（这个最划算，因为直飞，省时间。）

住宿 RM280/晚

食物 30欧元/餐/人

把路线都放进去，如果自驾去参观古堡所需的路程 = 446公里

汽油加租车 = RM1150

其他时候就坐地铁。

如果把全部费用提高一些

Air Tic = 2500/person = 5000 for 2 ppl

Accommodation = 2000 for 6 nights

Food = 30euro x 2 x 6 x 2 x 4.1 = RM3000

Transport = 1150 + 3 x 2 x 20 x 4.1 = 1700

所以两人费用大概RM12 000

怎能少了亚洲国家，毕竟预算并不是真的那么高。

那时记录下来的资料不知跑那去了。

不过理所当然，这个肯定是最经济的。

所有花费（不包括买东西/手信）应该在RM8000里面。

机票是RM1900两人。

去济州岛的机票大概RM500两人。

住宿RM1500

怎样算都是便宜。

所以，是韩国赢了!

Legoland review

Purchased annual ticket for three of us.

Actually if you planned to go more than two times per year, it's worth to own the annual ticket. By the third time you go it's actually cheaper than the standard pass each time you go.

Legoland is really a wonderland for kids. My daughter like the Royal Joust the most. It was just the horse on the railway. lol. But she would ride on it again and again and again.

We stayed at the Legoland hotel the beginning of March to celebrate her birthday. It was quite pricey as it was just a themed hotel but not much there. However, kids will enjoy themselves. At the lobby where it was like a huge playground. Lego everywhere. You can just play Lego there, as like whole day. But my girl is not a Lego fans by the way. There was X-box available too. 

The buffet breakfast was wonderful. Variety of food. The best hotel buffet breakfast that i ever had. Give them a "like".

The weather is damned hot in March. My husband almost fall sick under the hot sun. My plan is to go Legoland after 3pm in the future. Since we got the annual ticket, and my daughter tried almost all rides and games, no harm we go in the afternoon and play til dark.

一小时动物園游

所以我又乱乱进场了。
Oh no...

油价又探底，美股泻，马股跟着一起跌。

那天老公送喜饼去马六甲，我们也顺便去了马六甲动物园。
谁要结婚？当然不是他，使他妹妹。
送去马六甲五姑那。

话说，送完饼差不多四点多。
到动物园已经五点了。所以我们只剩一小时来“逛”动物园。

其实马六甲动物园去过很多次了。
所以重点是要看长颈鹿，老虎和狮子。

花了马币四十多元，一个小时的动物园之游会不会浪费？

潮妈潮爸带女儿逛动物园。

话说，脚上穿的是我的得意之战利品。大爱这双鞋。

再说，其实我老公天生白头发多，其实他还很年轻。

其实，女儿那天得了水痘第二天。
今天的她，整头满脸满身都是痘痘。我也请了一个礼拜的假期来看她。
没办法，保姆那有别的小孩，不能传染给别人。

十个多月大的小孩得水痘，也够心疼的。

Bangkok

Plan to go to Bangkok in Aug. Air ticket was bought in last Dec at RM426 for two pax including one 20-kg bag checked in. Considered quite cheap.

We never plan to bring kids along. Haha. So my elder daughter will stay at home. Hopefully her grandma will look after her for us as she needs to go to class. It'll only be a 4D3N trip. Not too long. Should be ok. The younger daughter then will be taken to my mum's house. Yea, she will be looked after by another grandma, plus the babysitter at daytime.

Haven't book the hotel for this trip. Normally i book the hotel via agoda. Once you reached certain points you can get rebate. I got the rebate twice. hehe. considerd some discount for the next accommodation. Glow Pratunam Hotel is now my choice for the accommodation in Bangkok. Any other recommendation? Many people suggest the Budacco Hotel which is quite cheap too. Hmm, prefer Glow Pratunam Hotel for now.
I can't travel to far far place because of tight budget. So, i think i can afford better accommodation.

Next will be the itinerary. It's almost done. Like where normally people go.

People always say Bangkok is a shopping heaven. I think i should save some bullet before i go.
